Materiology, an exhibit by Stir Gallery in Delhi floated the theme
"What happens when yesterday becomes tomorrow?"
As a response to this theme, we crafted a 'Water House' that has spaces to 'hold' water. We imagined a master plan of a settlement created around walls capturing and storing rainwater, over time creating a naturally cooler environment for the home and the settlement.
The below paintings are made by the author as abstractions of a water house. This house that holds water, eventually evolves, grows and multiplies along a tabula-rasa to create a settlement with diverse scales and functions of spaces, all celebrating the flow of water.
