Conducted a summer school course at Faculty of Planning CEPT University on Urban Ecologies: Nature-Based Solutions for Climate Resilience in May 2026

The students majorly came from master's programs spanning urban design, planning, architecture history, management, and technology. While they approached water through very different lenses, it was fascinating to see how quickly they began connecting ecological processes, spatial design, and systems thinking. Their inquiries were thoughtful and varied, leading to a wide range of waterbodies and design proposals that reflected their context and disciplinary backgrounds.

The course was enriched by two excellent guest lectures.

Pooja Tendulkar from Lemnion Green Solutions Pvt Ltd shared valuable insights from implementing NBS in practice, grounding discussions in real projects and field experiences.

Raj Bhagat Palanichamy introduced geospatial mapping and analysis as tools for understanding water systems at basin scale.

Students become comfortable with the language and logic of NBS within a short span of time, and begin applying these concepts critically through their own design proposals.
