To guide sustainable, resilient, and inclusive design, our team began with a “Nature of Place” study, grounded in 10 measures from the AIA Framework for Design Excellence. This approach structured our thinking, facilitated dialogue with clients and communities, and set measurable goals for climate action.
Our role focused on developing a comprehensive placemaking and public realm vision—integrating landscape, public space programming, pedestrian circulation, connectivity, and sustainability. The resulting masterplan addresses both the physical and spatial qualities of the site while engaging its social and ecological dynamics.

Design Studies: Below sketches include high-level ideas to test the range of opportunities for repositioning the International Plaza ranging from small improvements to a full reconfiguration.

My contribution included conducting design studies and iterations leading to the final masterplan recommendation, as well as preparing the recommendation document through site analysis, precedent studies, and report writing.
